I didn't keep up with Tom much after high school, but in high school he was a quiet guy and a good dude. We always got along and he was was a fellow basketball teammate and got along with everyone. For a white guy he could really jump. I always hoped to catch up with him at one of our reunions, but it never happened. Myself, Gus Edick, Danny Walton, Steve Virgil & Dwight Stein talked about Tom and Stuart Walker at out 30th reunion, so I look forward to seeing those guys again and re-living our times at RE Lee!
Tom and I were 2 year Letterman "bench partners"...but boy did we have fun. Coach Castillo caught us before the early game at the stadium ( where there was spring in the floor vs RE Lee boards cemented to concrete) practicing dunking and playing horse from behind the backboard in the stands on the bench....boy Tom and I had our fun even if the Bean Head would not let us play much. RIP my dear friend.
